The vision of Web 3.0, the decentralized internet, now encompasses artificial intelligence.
Starting with a blockchain system, InFlux Technologies Ltd. has grown into one of the most promising AI firms, according to according to Daz Williams (pictured), chief AI officer of InFlux. The company has created a decentralized marketplace that gives developers a more efficient, economical way to access enterprise-grade AI.
“Developing AI products, it’s building the airplane while it’s still flying and being the first, and discovering problems that no one else has had before,” Williams said. “We are able to throw our product (FluxEdge), bring all of these [graphics processing units] together … deploy all of the AI models and bring them to every developer.”
Williams spoke with theCUBE’s John Furrier for the Tech Innovation CUBEd Awards 2025 interview series, during an exclusive broadcast on theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio. They discussed the advantages of FluxEdge and the transition from Web2, the current version of the internet, to Web3.
Bringing AI into the decentralized internet
Through FluxEdge, users can run large language models from their own graphics processing units, bypassing the compute power and delays associated with centralized applications. As part of its contributions to AI decentralization, InFlux was recognized with theCUBE’s AI Luminaries award. One project that Williams is particularly excited about is Flux AI’s document distillation feature (D3DS), which uses rich metadata and conductive reasoning to produce more accurate results.
“What we’ve managed to achieve with what we’re building is to take these thousands of documents and narrow it down to the one which will allow us to more accurately answer the user, so it becomes more of a conversational flow,” he explained.
InFlux has fully embraced the potential of a Web3 world, using the blockchain system to harness unused GPU power. And for anyone interested in developing a decentralized app, InFlux has the resources, according to Williams.
“On our RunOnFlux website, we made it so easy to get started,” he said. “You can log right on there and it’ll take you through a series of questions, and it’ll help you choose the right solution and then allow you to get started right away.”
