According to a new report, Samsung plans to use some ceramic materials in the Galaxy S25 Edge, though it’s not entirely clear what form that may take.
The Galaxy S25 Edge was announced at the end of Samsung’s Unpacked event last month, with very few details coming with it. Further leaks have revealed the sub-6mm thickness of the device and some other key details and, now, another report is hinting at the build materials.
SamMobile claims that Samsung will be using ceramic as a part of the Galaxy S25 Edge build. Apparently, this will be used to strengthen the back of the device, while “Armor Aluminim” is still used for the frame. The report notes that it’s still unclear whether or not the back of the device will be made entirely from ceramic or if the glass will be “infused” with ceramic.
It’s also added that Samsung will be showcasing the Edge at MWC next month, similarly to how it did for the Galaxy Ring last year.
