Pfizer and Amazon Explore Collaboration with RFK Jr. on Climate and Health Crisis

Pfizer Inc. (PFE, Financial) and Amazon.com (AMZN, Financial) executives are exploring collaboration with U.S. health secretary nominee Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to counter the mounting threat posed to health as the climate continues to change. President-elect Donald Trump has long dismissed climate change as a hoax, but Kennedy is, in contrast, an environmental lawyer who suggests regulatory interventions that try to balance the needs of climate alarmists and skeptics alike. Precision rethinks chronic diseases and improving food safety and nutrition as the key priorities.

Amazon Pharmacy’s Chief Medical Officer Vin Gupta also expressed optimism that Kennedy’s focus on chronic disease and nutrition was driven ‘by things the healthcare industry would absolutely welcome to try and save money to improve public health. But Kennedy’s skepticism about vaccines he has previously questioned whether they’re safe and effective has drawn scrutiny.

According to the World Health Organization, another 250,000 people may die from the effects of heat stress, malaria, or malnutrition by the end of the century because of climate change. The need to address these health and environmental challenges becomes more urgent as global temperatures rise.
