Opposition primaries: Voter turnout likely high following Istanbul mayor's arrest




Sunday’s voter turnout is likely to be high as Turkey’s main opposition party, the Republican People’s Party, held a primary election for the 2028 presidential vote, FRANCE 24’s Jasper Mortimer said, citing the arrest of Istanbul Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu as the main reason.
