Follow these steps to easily calculate tips on your Samsung phone:
- Open the calculator app and tap the Unit converter button (ruler icon).
- You’ll see a row of various tabs for different units of measurement. Swipe on that row to reach the Tip tab at the right, toward the end.
- Here, type your subtotal, then tap the Tips option (percent sign). Select your desired tip percentage and tap Done. The tipped amount, as well as the total bill amount, will update accordingly.
- Next, if you’re splitting the bill with other people, tap the Split option (person icon). Select the total number of people (including yourself) and tap Done. This will surface the amount each person owes after the tip.
The next time you go out to eat, you can use this method to quickly calculate and view the tip, total amount, and your share of the bill at once.
