No One Likes Calculating Tips, but This Samsung App Makes It Easy

The calculator app on your Samsung phone comes with a tool to calculate tips and split bills with others. That way, you don’t have to do it yourself and can avoid the embarrassment of potentially getting the amount wrong while calculating mentally.

Calculate Tips With the Samsung Calculator

Everyone in the US is fully aware of how prevalent tipping culture has gotten. You’re expected to leave a tip pretty much everywhere nowadays, far beyond just bars and restaurants.

Unlike the rest of the world where tips are optional and added either to round up the bill or to show gratitude for exceptional service, tipping in North America is done as a percentage of your bill. So you’re not even paying for better service; you’re just paying more based on how expensive your meal is.

That means when all you wanted was a nice meal out with friends or family, you’ll get stuck doing math at the dinner table. It’s natural to wonder how much to tip and whether it’s supposed to be added before or after the tax. While we can’t help with the latter part of that complaint, we can make the math part easier for you.
