Multiple fires blast from manholes across US college after explosion on campus


An explosion at maintenance hole at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, resulted in multiples fires from manholes and power outages.

School officials issued evacuation orders for several of the surrounding buildings and have cancelled classes for the rest of the week. Power was shut down for the entire campus while repairs were underway.

At the moment, it’s not clear what might have caused the explosion. No injuries were reported.
