On Wednesday, the Food and Drug Administration set a recall of International Delight coffee creamer at the second highest risk level.
Danone initially recalled over 75,000 bottles of two flavors of International Delight coffee creamer on Feb. 21 after discovering the products were spoiled. The affected creamers were pulled from store shelves in 31 states.
This week, the FDA gave the recall a class 2 risk level, meaning that drinking the creamers “may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences,” or that the possibility of serious health consequences is “remote.”
As the best-by dates of the recalled products have not passed yet, the company is still urging customers to stop using the affected coffee creamers.
The recall includes two flavors of International Delight coffee creamer: Hazelnet and Cinnabon Classic Cinnamon Roll. The recall affects 12,509 cases containing six bottles—for a total of 75,054 bottles of coffee creamer.

The recalled International Delight coffee creamers were sold in the following states:

Danone recalled the coffee creamers because the products spoiled prematurely, resulting in a texture issue, the company said in a press release.
Danone only cited the quality problem, saying it recalled the creamers “out of an abundance of caution,” but the FDA mentioned additional issues. The agency’s report said Danone “received complaints of spoilage and illness with the use of the products.”
Other flavors of International Delight coffee creamer were also recalled recently. In October 2024, more than 10,000 bottles of International Delight’s “Home Alone” Peppermint Mocha Zero Sugar coffee creamer were pulled from shelves over a labeling issue. The bottles were labeled as “zero sugar,” but the creamer did contain sugar, creating a risk for people who limit or manage their sugar intake.
If you have the recalled International Delight creamers in your fridge, stop using them immediately. Consumers can return the products to where they were purchased for a refund or replacement, Danone said.
