Gboard beta adds a limited font switcher

A small tweak to Gboard for Android adds a font switcher for some degree of customization.

Under Settings > Preferences > Appearance, there’s a new “Font” menu with two options. “Gboard default” should be Google Sans Text, while “System default” on a Pixel is still Roboto. (The actual system-wide font on Pixel is Google Sans Text.)

Making a change here only applies to the keys in Gboard. This might be useful for those that want to have more granular control over how their phone looks.

We’re seeing this font switcher live with the latest beta (14.7) of Gboard on Pixel and Samsung devices. It’s not yet appearing in the stable release (which is on the same version).
