Google has lodged a formal antitrust complaint related to Microsoft’s commercial practices in the cloud-computing industry. The search giant looks to be hoping that the European Union might help it shake up the sector. Alphabet Google said it had filed the complaint with the EU’s top regulator over what it alleges are anticompetitive practices that lock customers into Microsoft cloud platform Azure.
