Amid continued delays for its One UI 7 update, Samsung is now launching three new phones that come with the update out of the box with the new Galaxy A26, A36, and A56.
Samsung’s latest Galaxy A-series devices are coming to the US starting on March 26, and they’ll be the first way to access One UI 7 outside of buying the pricey Galaxy S25 series. These three devices share two core specs, with 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz displays across the board and a 5,000 mAh battery.
Where they differ starts with the cameras. The Galaxy A56 has the best of the bunch with a 50MP main camera, 12MP ultrawide, and 5MP macro. The Galaxy A36 then has a 50MP main camera, 8MP ultrawide, and 5MP macro. Both of those devices also share 12MP front-facing cameras. Then, the Galaxy S26 has a 50MP main camera, 8MP ultrawide, and 2MP macro, with a 13MP front-facing camera.
Samsung hasn’t detailed the chips officially, but leaks have mentioned an Exynos 1580 on the Galaxy A56, a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 on Galaxy A36, and Exynos 1380 on Galaxy A26. The Galaxy A56 gets 8GB of RAM while the other two have 6GB, All three include 128GB of storage.
All three devices also get One UI 7 based on Android 15 and will get 6 years of Android OS and security patch updates. Again, that comes as Samsung has yet to announce any plans for a rollout of that update to any of its other existing devices.
Finally, the measurements are also slightly different between the three. Galaxy A56 measures 162.2 x 77.5 x 7.4mm, Galaxy A36 at 162.9 x 78.2 x 7.4mm, and Galaxy A26 at 164.0 x 77.5 x 7.7mm. All three are IP67 certified. Notably, Samsung hasn’t shared any images of the Galaxy A56 yet.

- Galaxy A26: $299, March 28
- Galaxy A36: $399, March 26
- Galaxy A56: $499, “later this year”
