The Saatva Zenhaven mattress is an all-latex bed, constructed entirely of natural Talalay latex. It starts off with a quilted cover made from breathable organic cotton which includes a proprietary Lumbar Zone quilting for more support. There is then a layer of GOTS certified New Zealand wool which can help with temperature regulation before a layer of zoned latex with vented air channels for even more airflow.
Finally, there’s a natural latex core which offers optimum support and durability. What is unique about the Saatva Zenhaven is that it features a dual sided design, that means you can flip it to find your perfect firmness level, one side is plush the other firm.
The Nolah Natural combines latex with coils to provide the pressure relief properties of latex with the added support and responsiveness of the coils. It has an organic cotton cover followed by a layer of breathable organic wool. Next is a 2-inch pressure relieving organic comfort layer followed by a 1-inch layer of resilient latex before an 8-inch HD Max TriZone support coil layer. This is finished off with an organic wool and cotton bottom layer for overall stability.

When it comes to comfort and support, both the Saatva Zenhaven and Nolah Natural 11 offer unique experiences. The Saatva Zenhaven is perfect for a wide range of sleepers, thanks to its dual-sided design. That means you can pick a side depending on your individual sleep style and body weight. One side is luxury plush which is around 4-5 out of 10 which is ideal for side sleepers and lighter weight sleepers. The other side is Gentle Firm which is 7-8 out of 10 and is better for back, stomach and heavy sleepers.
However, those over 250lbs will be better off exploring the best mattresses for heavy people, due to the relatively shallow bed depth. Despite there not being any coils in this mattress, the responsive nature of the latex means it’s easy to shift positions, so is ideal for combination sleepers. The Saatva Zenhaven has support in the lumbar region thanks to the enhanced lumbar support in the quilting and 5-zone latex for exceptional pressure relief.
In comparison, the Nolah Natural has a medium-firm feel, sitting around 6.5 out of 10 on the firmness scale. Like the best hybrid mattresses, this bed combines the pressure-relieving comfort of Talalay latex with the targeted support of zoned coils. This combination makes it a good choice for all sleep styles, but will likely be best suited to back and combination sleepers. In terms of edge support, the Nolah Natural mattress takes the edge on the Zenhaven, due to the inclusion of coils. If you’re someone who sleeps on the edge of the bed then you may find this a better option. Motion isolation is also impressive with both mattresses, especially given how responsive they are. But whilst you’ll feel a little bit of movement with these beds when your partner moves around, it is likely it won’t be enough to disturb your sleep.
