Hong Kong authorities have “strongly condemned” an attempted knife attack against a judge, stressing they will not condone any violent acts.
Police received a report at 10am on Monday that a man in his 30s had wielded a knife inside the Kowloon City Magistrates’ Courts.
Three police officers suffered minor injuries trying to stop the suspect and were later sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Yau Ma Tei.
The man was arrested on suspicion of attempted wounding and was also transferred to hospital. It remains unclear whether he sustained injuries.

The Department of Justice condemned the incident, which it said threatened the personal safety of the magistrate.
