4 Hongkongers hurt after school bus driver allegedly faints behind wheel, hits taxi



Four people, including a seven-year-old girl, have been injured after a school bus, whose driver is suspected to have fainted behind the wheel, collided with a taxi in Hong Kong.

Police said they received a report from the taxi driver, 61, after his vehicle was hit by the bus near the junction between Hung Hom South Road and Po Loi Street at around 8am on Wednesday.

The bus driver, 62, who was transporting the girl, eight boys, and a 72-year-old nanny, is believed to have fainted behind the wheel before he lost control and crashed into the taxi, according to the force.

The two drivers, girl and nanny were rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.

The taxi driver suffered from neck and waist pain, while the bus driver felt dizzy.
